JAMMU, Jan 31: Government Employees Joint Action Committee (GEJAC) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its President Kulwant Singh Sambyal.
While speaking, Sambyal said that Development Commissioner PDD issued the direction to treasury officers to stop the salaries of DDOs of Jammu district, but the treasury officers stopped the salaries of the staff members for the month of December 2016, which is not justified. The staff members are facing hardships, due to non-payment of salaries, he added.
He condemned the violations of the directions issued by Development Commissioner PDD and demanded that an enquiry should be conducted in this regard.
Presidents of various associations attended the meeting.
