JAMMU, Feb 3: Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Law & Justice Abdul Haq today said the Government is serious in addressing the issues of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) staff.
“Whether it’s the issue of hike in their salary or of secure future, I assure them that all the steps will be taken to redress their genuine grievances,” the Minister said.
“I met MGNREGA employees and assured them that the Chief Minister also wants to see the future of youth safe and secure and that no stone will be left unturned in resolving the issues confronting them,” he said.
The Minister said this after meeting a delegation of workers engaged under MGNREGA who had called for indefinite pen down strike in Rajouri and Poonch demanding framing of a policy for their working.
