UDHAMPUR, Feb 5: During its monthly meeting, here today, All J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum has reiterated its demand for immediate release of SSA salary and regularization of those ReTs, who have completed five years of service.
Vinod Sharma, president of the Forum, who chaired the meeting, said it was very unfortunate that the Education Department has not provided several months salary to SSA Teachers and Masters whose families are on verge of starvation as they are unable to provide basic facilities to their families, including proper food and clothing to their children and medicines to their ailing parents. “Due to delayed regularization, there is also a huge pendency in the form of pay arrears, DA arrears etc and the SSA teachers are suffering badly,” he added.
Vinod Sharma further said that banks were charging compound interests on the salary loans/ housing loans etc and even seized the accounts of the guarantors and the Government must act upon by immediately releasing their pending salaries. He appealed the Government to make provisions for the clearance of pending 4 to 6 months SSA salary and arrears of these teachers so that their families may not suffer any more.
The forum president also demanded regularisation of ReTs who have obtained degrees from UGC recognized universities. He also demanded the transfer policy in favour regularized ReT teachers as per High Court judgement.
Others who also spoke on the occasion, included Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, Sham Sharma, Sukesh Khajuria, Pritam Goswami, Ravinder Singh, Bhushan Khajuria, Anil Sharma, Sushil Singh, Suresh Shama and Deepankar.
