JAMMU, Feb 6: CT Group of Institutions organized the mega Science Carnival ‘Vigyan Uday’ at Banyan International School, Jammu on the theme ‘Science for the Development of Nation’.
SOS Hermen Geminer Public School bagged the overall trophy of Science Carnival: Vigyan Uday while Govt Polytechnic for Women, Shiv Chowk bagged the runners-up and Guru Harkrishan Public School, Nanak Nagar bagged the second runners-up trophy. The winning team was awarded with the prize money of Rs 5,100, Rs. 3,100 and Rs. 2,100 respectively.
The consolation prizes were given to Banyan International School, Shiksha Niketan, Jeevan Nagar and Govt. Polytechnic College, Bikram Chowk.
As many as 452 students from different schools of Jammu participated.
The main highlights of the day were the models presented by the students. The models were depicting the solutions of various domestic and environmental problems.
The models were highly appreciated by the experts and audience for enthralling the show.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Kavinder Gupta, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly in presence of Guests of Honour, Anuradha Gupta, ADC Jammu and Pankaj Vij, Head, Division of Admissions, CT Group of Institutions in the presence of other management members, faculty and students.
The dignitaries lit the lamp to declare the Carnival open.
Mr Gupta and Mrs Anuradha appreciated the initiative of CT Institutions for organizing this event of great value.
Mr Gupta said that such remarkable contribution by the students through their science models and art work has truly touched my heart, while ADC Jammu urged the students to focus on their aim and put best of their efforts to get the extreme result in their favour.
