JAMMU, Feb 7: Rich Harvest School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu celebrated Annual Fest 2016-17 “The Spirit of India” in the Police Auditorium, Gulshan ground, here.
The students of the school presented a bonanza of cultural items with great enthusiasm and fervour. Choudhary Lal Singh, Minister of Forest, Ecology and Environment graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, Former Minister and Chairman of Dogra Education Trust presided over the function.
Prominent guests present on the occasion were Surekha Charak, Samar Dev Singh Charak, Bela and Ruchi Charak.
A colourful cultural programme was presented by the students.
The toddlers of Pre Nursery dressed as valiant soldiers, freedom fighters enthralled the audience by various items on the patriotic theme.
Recital of poems like “Jhansi ki rani “and “Sarfaroshi ki Tamanna” etc, which were appreciated by the audience.
Then chief guest Choudhary Lal Singh, Minister for Forest, Ecology and Environment in his speech congratulated the students for their achievement in different academic and co-curricular activities and appreciated the efforts of the teachers in bringing out the latent talent.
Mr Charak in his speech lauded the efforts of the students, their parents and teachers in putting up such fine and memorable function. He emphasized on providing quality education to the student and urged upon the teaching faculty to play vital role in enlightening the society.
Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Secretary SG Foundation welcomed the distinguished guests.
Uma Katal, Founder of the School also spoke on the occasion.
The function concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Rasvinder Kaur, Principal of the School.
The function was coordinated by Tanvi and Rahul, while it was hosted by Sapna Singh and Honey Bali.
