MTWA demands adjustment orders of transferred teachers

JAMMU, Oct 14: Condemning the dilly dallying tactics of the concerned education authority in adjustment of teachers transferred from Leh and Kargil, Migrant Teachers Welfare Association (MTWA) demanded the Joint Director, incharge, Migrant Camp Schools, to issue immediate adjustment orders of these teachers in schools of migrant camps.
In a meeting held here today, the Association members appealed the administration to formulate a viable transfer policy for the teachers working in Government Higher Secondary School and Government Middle School, Jagti.
The Association president, Ramesh Raina, raised the issue of shifting of camp schools such as High School as well as Higher Secondary School, Mishriwala, to migrant inhabited areas to make them fully functional and result oriented.
The issue of acute shortage of subject specialists in the camp schools was also discussed in the meeting. The meeting unanimously passed a resolution in which the members expressed their solidarity and support to JCC for its October 15 Secretariat Gherao programme.
