JAMMU, Feb 12: Defeating Heema Volleyball Club in a close contest in the summit clash, Helpline Volleyball Club lifted the title trophy in the ongoing 3-day Block Level Tournament, being jointly organized by Global Sampark Youth Club, Helpline Humanity and Nehru Yuva Kendra at Jagti, here.
In the Racing Competition, Heema Public School emerged winner, while in Kabaddi, Shanti Niketan Club claimed the title and in Kho-Kho, Sai Club was the winner.
Meanwhile, in Cycling 1 kilometer competition for girls, Himanshi Roshan Bhat bagged first position, Komal Pandita won second spot and the third place went to Sheenu Raina.
Around 500 players represented 25 Clubs took part in the competition in various sports disciplines.
Senior NC leader and MLA Mubarak Gul was the chief guest on day two of the competition today, who was accompanied by MK Yogi, President NC Minority Cell; Sheela Handoo, Prof AN Sadhu and Prof Virender Raval.
Speaking on the occasion, Mubarak Gul lavished praise for the organizers for holding this event, which provides opportunity to the migrant youth to showcase their talent.
He assured the organizers that he will provide financial assistance from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to uplift migrant youth in sports and games.
