JAMMU, Mar 4: BJP leader Haji Taj Khan today lambasted the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) for bringing the Kashmir to the path of destruction.
“The Kashmiris are facing acute problems for the past nearly three decades because of turmoil which is the brain child of Hurriyat while the poor people are facing doom every day” Khan told reporters here today.
He said after Kashmiris have given up and believed that only God and India could help them to save their future generations, the Hurriyat feels that it is becoming irrelevant day by day. Now the leaders of Hurriyat are eyeing Pakistan. So the Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani expressed “gratitude to people of Pakistan, their government as well as army for their political, moral and unflinching support to people of Kashmir “, who he said are carrying on with the struggle to achieve their inalienable right to self-determination.
Khan said Geelani felicitated Pakistan establishment and influenced people for playing their active role in Kashmir movement. Quoting Geelani he said “the people in Jammu and Kashmir are challenging a big power and Pakistan is the only country that acknowledges our right to self-determination and extends its persistent support”. He (Geelani) urged people of Pakistan “to organize demonstrations in favor of people of Jammu and Kashmir for their right to self-determination and highlight dispute and the gross human rights violations being perpetrated by forces in Kashmir”, Khan added.
He said Geelani termed Maqbool Bhat and Afzal Guru as “immortal” heroes of the Kashmir’s freedom movement.  Moreover, Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah said these martyrs gave a new direction to the freedom struggle and rose up as heroes for the Kashmiri youths, he added.
Khan while cursing Pakistan for curbing the freedom of people in Pak held Kashmir, Gilgit and Baltistan asked the people of Kashmir to understand the game of Hurriyat and its dirty politics of emotional blackmail and asked them not to fall in their trap.
