MOHALI: A special court here today declared Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar, his brother Mufti Abdul Rauf Asghar and handlers Shahid Latif and Kashif Jan proclaimed offenders in the Pathankot terror attack case.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had on December 19 last year filed a charge sheet accusing them of plotting the attack that left seven security personnel dead on January 2 last year. Four terrorists were also neutralised by the security forces.
According to the NIA counsel Surinder Singh and ASP V Srivastava, who appeared in the court, raids had been conducted at various places as part of efforts to arrest the accused but to no avail so far.
The court asked the NIA to step up the efforts to arrest all the accused and, if needed, the Interpol may be roped in. (AGENCIES)
