JAMMU, Mar 20: Bari Brahmana police arrested a vehicle lifter and recovered stolen motorcycle from his possession.
As per police sources, a person identified as Kulvinder Kumar, son of Ramesh Lal, a resident of Sanjay Nagar lodged a complaint with Bari Brahmana police station on January 17 stating that some unidentified persons had stolen his motorcycle.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 5/17 under Section 379 RPC was registered at Bari Brahmana police station and manhunt was launched to nab the thieves.
On specific information, a team from Bari Brahmana police station nabbed the thief and recovered the stolen motorcycle from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Liaqat Ali, son of Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Kheri, tehsil Bishnah.
Further questioning of the accused is going on.
Police team led by SHO Bari Brahmana Inspector Mahesh Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Usman and SSP Samba Anil Magotra.
