SRINAGAR, Mar 21: The Winter Games Association of Jammu and Kashmir will be holding State Winter Games from April 1 to April 3, 2017 at Gulmarg.
Different events like Alpine Skiing, Nordic skiing and Snowboarding competitions will be held in different categories and age groups like senior men and women, Junior and Sub-Junior boys and girls born in 1996-97-98; 1999-2000, 2001-02 and 2003-04 categories will be eligible. For Snowboarding there will be only senior and junior male categories.
While for Nordic Ski there will be only senior men and women categories. Those boys and girls who secure first 4 positions will be selected for future National Ski and Snowboarding Champions-hips to be held in 2018.
The championship will be held under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council.
The participants will have to fill up the prescribed entry forms which will be available at the venue.
The Association has advised the participants to bring one photograph, attested copies of date of birth certificates and advance Ski Course certificates.
