Vibodh for inculcating sense of patriotism among children

JAMMU, Mar 21: The Annual day of National Public Higher Secondary School (NPHSS) was celebrated in the school premises at Rajouri. It was an occasion where all students showcased their talents through dance, music and drama.  MLC Vibodh Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion.
Vibodh Gupta, on the occasion, in his speech reflected on his own experiences as a student and appreciated National Public Higher Secondary School for being a school with a difference. On this occasion he stressed on the need for the overall development of school children. He called upon the teachers to look for various innovative means for the overall development of school children. He said this is the only way to prepare the students’ to meet the challenges in highly competitive atmosphere at present.
He stressed on the importance of building a healthy teacher-student relationship. He also said that teachers should have a friendly and respectable relationship with their students. He also said that mothers play the vital role in the upbringing of an student and advised them to be focused on their role of being the first teacher of a child.
He further said that there is need to inculcate a deep sense of discipline, honesty, sincerity and the spirit of patriotism in children to enable them to become better citizens and build a strong nation. The nation has produced a number of intellectuals and personalities that the world is proud of, he added.
While remembering the Founder NPHS School Rajouri late Ashok Kumar  Badyal , Gupta said that he was a great educationist and a visionary  human being and we learned so many things from him. He is also inspiration for others. He took Rajouri to new heights by giving true education to the people of Rajouri. He had a passion for the students who can become a better citizens. Throughout his life he worked for the poor and underprivileged.
Principal NPHSS presented the annual report highlighting the achievements of the school and the students. Meritorious students in academics and extra-curricular activities were felicitated.
MD national Public Higher Secondary School Rajouri Vijay Laxmi Badyal presented vote of thanks to guests and parents.
