JAMMU, Mar 30: Zang Trai the ladies festival was celebrated with full religious fervor and gaiety here today by Kashmiri Pandits. In this connection functions were held at various places in Jammu City and its outskirts.
The main function was held at K P Sabha Ambphalla which was presided by president of Sabha K K Khosa while Dr Meenakshi Kelam, Director Quality Assurance, Jammu University was the chief guest.
The function started with Devi Vandhna and chanting of mantras and later a Bajan Mala was presented by Shanti Lal Sidh and his associates.
Dr Meenakshi Kelam in her address explained in depth the sanctity of Zang Trai. She exhorted the young women to change the mindset and take challenges of life.
K K Khosa in his welcome address threw light on the role of Sabha and sought support of the people in strengthened the Sabha.The stage was managed by Sujata Sathoo.
