Sir,
Time and again voices have been raised by exiled community with regard to their voting pattern prescribed by the Election Commission of India. The exiled community from the valley of Kashmir called migrants have lost their homeland. This miniscule community is presently residing in several parts of the country and outside to earn their livelihood.
During this turmoil, Election Commission of India promulgated unique system for migrants while casting their vote in elections of the State. In this connection a migrant voter has to fill M-Form and deposit it in the concerned Zonal office where he stands registered. This process is lengthy one and also stressful. This lengthy and troublesome process holds back migrant voters so far as mass participation of them is concerned in the election. This present system needs immediate cognizance. It needs to be simplified so that nobody is marginalised in the democratic process of the country. Voting is a fundamental right of every citizen of India.
Yours etc…
