UDHAMPUR, Mar 31: Due to land sliding, around one hundred sheep and goats were buried alive at village Thill Roun, under the jurisdiction of Udhampur Police Station, here last night.
Around one hundred sheep and goats of Qasim, son of Karim Din of Thill Roun were buried alive under land slide, which took place around 2.30 am, last night. A huge boulder fell on the enclosure where all the goats and sheep were kept.
Even as a rescue operation was launched in the morning, only a few animals could be saved alive.
