IRP 5th Bn organizes ‘Run for Fun’

BHADERWAH, Apr 1: IRP-5th Bn organized Marathon ‘Run-for Fun’, under Civic Action Programme-2017 at Bhaderwah, today.
The Run covering a distance of 5 Kms, started from Bhalla and ended at Parnoo.
The students from various Schools of the area participated in the event.
Naresh Kumar, Class 12th, Vicky Kumar, Class 11th of Govt.HSS Berarru and Vikas Sharma, Class 12th of Govt.HSS Malothi bagged 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
They were given cash prizes and participation certificates by the chief guest and other dignitaries.
Seminar on the topic “Drug Addiction & Alcoholism” was also organized at Govt Higher Secondary School, Berarru, in which 10 students participated and delivered speeches on the given topic.
Omais Ahmed, Class 10th, Mohd Asif, Class 11th and Pinky Bhagat, Class 10th of Govt HSS Berarru won 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively and received cash prizes alongwith participation certificates from the chief guest.
Satya Kumar Katoch, Principal Govt HSS, Berarru was the Chief Guest on the occasion, who distributed cash prizes/certificates among the participants in presence of Mohd Arif Rishu-SSP, Commandant, IRP-5th Bn, who also spoke on the occasion and urged the participants as well as civil societies to join hands to help eradicate menace of Drug Addiction and Alcoholism from the society.
