JAMMU, Apr 3: T20 Cricket Tournament at Range Level, under Civic Action Programme (CAP) got underway at Bana Singh Stadium, R.S Pura, today. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr SD Singh Jamwal, IGP Jammu in presence of I/C SSP Jammu
Dr.  Vinod Kumar, Col. Mahesh Sharma, CO 4th Dogra, Romesh Kotwal, SP Hqrs Jammu, Arun Gupta, SP Rural Jammu, Surinder Choudhary, SDPO RS Pura and huge gathering of the area.
The main motto of organizing the Tournament is to explore the talent of youths and keep them away from drug abuse.
The Tournament is being organized by Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range, Jammu.
The opening match was played between Diamond Cricket Club, Simbal Camp and Lions Cricket Club Chohala.
Batting first, Diamond Cricket Club scored a good total of 175 runs in stipulated 20 overs, losing 9 wickets in the process.
In reply, Lions Cricket Club Chohala scored 169 runs for 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, thus lost the match by 6 runs. Gurvinder Singh was declared as man of the match.
Sports uniform and cricket kit was presented to the participating teams in presence of dignitaries.
The match was organized under the supervision of Rajnish Pran, SSP, SO to DIG JSK Range and Parshotam Sharma, DDP RPHQ Jammu and assisted by other staff of RPHQ Jammu.
