Free medical camp organized

SAMBA, Apr 3: Ascension, an NGO organized a free medical camp here at village Pindi Charkan on Indo-Pak border.
The camp was organized at Government Boys Middle School in collaboration with the Universal Treasure and Mata Gujri Social Welfare Trust.
A highly experienced and brilliant team of doctors participated in the camp and contributed their services to improve the health of villagers.
About 350 patients were examined for different diseases by the team of specialist doctors which comprised of Dr Anju Jain (Orthodontist), Dr Suruchi Gupta (Ophthalmologist), Dr Parvinder Kour Dutta (Gynaecologist), Dr Sanjay Shah (Physician), Dr Vikramjeet Singh (Pediatrician) and Dr Manmeet Singh (Physician).
Free tests of diabetes and blood as well as blood pressure check up were also conducted. Besides, free medicines and eyeglasses were provided to the poor and needy patients.
Dr Vijay Sawhney, HOD Blood Bank, Medical College Jammu, attended the camp as the chief guest and encouraged the entire team to work continuously for the betterment of society.
While talking to the reports, chairperson of Ascension, Anu Chowdhary, said,” Our entire team is dedicated and committed to work persistently for the betterment of society”.
