MENDHAR, Apr 5: Organised in the memory of late Master Karmat Ullah Khan, District Poonch Volleyball Tournament got underway, here today.
The Tournament was inaugurated by SDPO Mendhar, Shahied Nayeem in an impressive and well attended function, while Coy Commander 49RR O C Gupta and chief organizer, Master Asif Khan were present on the occasion.
The Tournament is being held under the supervision of Mohd Ayaz Khan
Earlier, in the inaugural Volleyball match, Friends Club Harni defeated Salwah Volleyball Club by (3-2) sets.
The players of both the teams showed extraordinary spiking skills, but finally Friends Club players held their nerves in the crunch situation and emerged winners.
