JAMMU, Apr 6: National Panther Party’s State president Balwant Singh Mankotia today blamed the Bhartiya Janta Party for surrendering the interest of people for sake of power despite people gave a decisive mandate in saffron party’s favour.
“Following the footsteps of the Congress party, BJP diluted the core issues for power and betrayed the people of Jammu region who are fighting for seeking right and justice”, Mankotia said, adding, BJP got huge mandate in 2014 assembly elections with 25 MLAs and leadership was much aware about the aspiration of people who wanted to remove the 70 year old biased rule of Kashmiri leaders.
Mankotia was addressing a rally at Domana, where Haq-Insaaf Yatra started by Panthers Party for seeking right and justice by mobilizing statehood demand for Jammu region, reached today. He said that people voted for BJP to remove political disparity with Jammu region as delimitation of constituencies is the main demand but unfortunately for power State and Central leadership of BJP betrayed the mandate of Jammu region and surrendered every aspiration during negotiation for the formation of Government.
Panthers Party leader said time has come to mobilize the people of State for separate statehood of Jammu region as Kashmir centric political parties are only concerned about the power and not concerned about the discrimination faced by the people of Jammu region.
“In recently announced medical PG seats, recruitment of SPOs and other employment drives, youth of Jammu region have been neglected and again discriminated by the Kashmir centric coalition parties”, he said and appealed the people to garner the support for separate statehood for Jammu region as it is the only viable solution of all problems being faced by the patriotic people of Jammu region.
