JAMMU, Oct 17: Tanima Dutta, a student of Government SPMR Commerce College bagged first prize in the Inter College/ Higher Secondary School Debate competition on the topic “Civil Defence and Mitigation of Disasters”, organised by Civil Defence at Government Women College, Parade.
On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner and Controller, Civil Defence, Jammu, Sanjeev Verma, was the chief guest, while Dushyant Sharma, Deputy Controller, Civil Defence, Jammu, was also present.
While speaking, Dushyant Sharma, informed that the first position holder of the debate competition, will be nominated as active Deputy Controller, civil Defence for one day, and subsequently, Tanima Dutta was nominated for the post.
Other students who participated in the debate were Chahat Grover, Kiran Devi, Sonia Sharma, Ritikesh Sharma and Harneet Singh.
All the participants along with active Deputy Controller Tanima Dutta visited Civil Defence Office, where, Tanima inspected the CD store, Office and Communication system of the office.
