KATHUA, Apr 21: Lakhanpur and Hiranagar zones organized Inter-School Tournaments in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho and Volleyball at Government High School, Kharote and Sports Stadium, Hiranagar respectively, here today.
At HS Kharote, in Volleyball Under-14 Boys, HS Gaiterwan outplayed MS Hote in straight 2-0 sets, while in Volleyball Under-17 Boys, HSS Keerian defeated HS Lakhanpur by 2-0 sets.
In Kho-Kho Under-14 Boys, MS Kuthlehar drubbed RS Golden HSS Kharote by 8-4 points, while in Kho-Kho Under-17 Boys, HS Kharote defeated HS Tridwan by 8-2 points.
At Sports Stadium, Hiranagar, in Under-17 Kabaddi, Unique Model HSS Chadwal emerged winner by defeating GHSS Marheen by 7 points, while in Under-17 Volleyball, defeating GHSS Chakra with 2-0 sets, GHS Kadyala reached into the finals to face Infant Jesus HSS Hiranagar, which outplayed Unique Model HSS Chadwal by 2-0 sets.
In Under-17 Kho-Kho, GHS Chadwal thrashed GHSS Kootah by 5 points in final.
The tournaments are being held under the supervision of Subash Chander Bhardwaj, DYSSO Kathua.
At HS Kharote, the events were officiated by Kuldeep Singh, Sher Singh, Ajay Kumar, Mandeep Singh, Swaran Singh, Kamal Sharma, Nidhi Sharma, Tilak Raj Sharma, Bhajan Singh, Bhupinder Sharma and Parveen Singh, while at Sports Stadium Hiranagar, the matches were officiated by Joginder Khajuria, Subash Chander, Manohar Laleham, Uttam Singh, Man-mohan Singh, Sunita Sharma, Omkar Nath, Manjeet Kour, Sanjay Sharma, Naresh Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Omkar Singh, Kulbhushan Kumar, Darshan Kumar, Sikander Singh, Sanjeev Sunny and Neeraj Sharma.
