Iknoor takes on Hargun in Cadet Girls finals

JAMMU, Apr 22: Outplaying their rivals convincingly in the semifinals, Iknoor Kour and Hargun Kaur sealed berth in Cadet Girls Under-12 finals of the ongoing 1st Kartar Singh Memorial Open Table Tennis Championship, being organized by Stag Table Tennis Academy, here.
Earlier, Iknoor beat Lipakshi by 11-2,11-3 in the first semifinals, while Hargun got better of Divanshi in a close contest by 14-14, 11-9.
In Cadet Boys Under-12 semifinals, Rohan Langar will take on Sourav, while Karmanya will face Arit.
In Sub Junior Boys Up to 14 years quarterfinals, Saksham defeated Sudhikeshan, Manya prevailed over Aditya, Akhlesh trounced Rohan Langer and Karmanya outplayed Shivain Goel, while in Sub Junior Girls Under-14 quarterfinals, Iknoor beat Lipakshi, Ragni got better of Dhvani, Hargun defeated Samga and Suhani outplayed Divyanshi.
The matches were conducted under the supervision of Ramesh Magotra, Senior Table Tennis Coach; Sandeep and Menu.
Earlier, former 1st State Champion Inder Mohinder Tar Singh and former State ranked player Sanjeev Gupta visited the Academy and encouraged the players.
They were accompanied by Senior Citizens Mohinder Singh, Harmohinder Kaur and Parsin Kaur.
