9 injured in mini-buses collision

JAMMU, Apr 23: Nine persons were injured in mini-buses collision near Nawa Kho on Sohal road, falling under the jurisdiction of Akhnoor police station.
As per police sources, two mini-buses bearing registration numbers JK02S-5873 and JK02V-3689 were on their way to Khour from Akhnoor, when they collided near Nawa Kho area on Sohal road, resulting into injuries to nine people including driver of one of the mini-buses.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Akhnoor, from where three injured persons were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advanced treatment.
The injured persons have been identified as Nirmala Devi (38), wife of late Mukesh Nath of Kharah Bali, Sunita Kumari (32), wife of Sanjeev Kumar of Thangur Pattian, Sheetal Devi (15), daughter of late Mukesh Nath of Kharah Bali, Kuldeep Raj (32), son of Situ Ram of Phariwala, Mamta Devi (27), wife of Balbir Kumar of Dhok Khalsa, Parkash Chand (75), son of Niku Ram of Naryana, Channo Devi (45), wife of Bachan Lal of Kharah Bali, Suman (22), daughter of Mahinder Lal of Sungal Morh and driver Tarsem Lal (38), son of Phuldo Ram of Kharah Bali.
Akhnoor police has taken cognizance in this regard.
