JAMMU, Apr 23: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi at 10.30 am tomorrow for detailed discussions on prevailing security situation in the Kashmir Valley and steps required to restore peace and normalcy there.
Official sources told the Excelsior that Mehbooba couldn’t meet the Prime Minister today in view of Modi’s hectic schedule. The NITI Aayog Governing Council meeting started at 10 am and ended at 6 pm. Thereafter, Modi met 13 Chief Ministers of BJP ruled States and the meeting ended at 10:30 pm followed by dinner.
Therefore, sources said, Mehbooba Mufti’s meeting with the Prime Minister was re-scheduled to tomorrow at 10.30 am.
The Prime Minister and the Chief Minister were expected to discuss the roadmap to restore peace in the Valley. They would also review working of PDP-BJP coalition Government in the State.
