SRINAGAR, Apr 28: Police today said a lady committed suicide in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A defence spokesman said a 55-year old lady (name withheld) and resident of Akoora village of Mattan in Anantnag consumed some poisonous substance at her home.
“She was shifted to PHC Mattan where doctors declared her brought dead. Police have registered a case FIR number 40/2017 in police station Mattan and investigation has been taken up,” he added.
