NEW DELHI: Congress president Sonia Gandhi today approved the composition of the central organisational election authority, to be chaired by Mr Mullapally Ramachandran and comprising senior leader Bhubaneswar Kalita and Mr Madhusudan Mistry.
Mr Madhusudan Mistry has been included in the reconstituted CEA, which will oversee the process of organisaitonal elections within the Congress party.
According to a release by AICC general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi,”the Congress president has also approved a three member advisory committee of the Central organisational election authority comprising MP Shamsher Singh Dulio and former MPs Ashk Ali Tak and Biren Singh Angti.”
Mr Dwivedi said that since Mr Madhusudan Mistry has become a member of the Central organizational election authority, he will not hold any organizational post as per party constitution. The constitution of the CEA marks the beginning of the process of organisational elections of the party. (AGENCIES)
