Laxmi CC holds meet, elects office bearers

JAMMU, Apr 29: One of the oldest Cricket Clubs in Jammu, Laxmi Cricket Club held its Annual General Body Meeting at Parade Ground, here today.
The meeting was attended by all the members of the Club, who held a thorough discussion on the shortcomings of the Club, besides its activities and achievements, before electing its new office bearers.
Joint Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, Jammu Wing, Desh Rattan Dubey was the observer of the elections.
The meeting unanimously reelected Dr Anil Kumar Mahajan as its president, Pawan Kumar Gupta as Chairman, Vijay Sabarwal as General Secretary, S Amarjeet Singh as Secretary and Kapil Dev Mahajan as Treasurer.
Earlier, Dr Anil Mahajan, President and Pawan Kumar Gupta, Chairman congratulated the members for getting the Club registered with the Registrar of Societies, Jammu (J&K).
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Dubey, while lavishing praise for the Club, threw light on its inception and origin and said that the Club deserves its affiliation with the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association for promoting cricket and cricketers, besides maintaining and establishing infrastructure.
