JAMMU, May 2: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) led by its president, Sushil Sudan, today met the newly appointed Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr MK Bhandari, and apprised him of about the problems and sufferings of health workers.
Sudan while interacting with Divisional Commissioner raised the issue of Salary Head 2211 where the Female Multipurpose Health Workers are working without salary for over an year and are suffering the most.
He further added that Female Multipurpose Workers of District Poonch are staging dharna today for their genuine demand of salary and if their problem is not resolved shortly then they will be left with no other option except to start protest demonstrations and stage dharnas in all the districts of Jammu Division.
MK Bhandari, assured the deputation to again take up the matter of salary of such FMPHWs with Financial Commissioner, J&K.
