JAMMU, May 3: BJP Mahila Morcha All India Working Committee member, Sheela Handoo today demanded that PM’s employment package for migrants be implemented without any pre-conditions attached to it, relaxation of age to over aged youth, one time grant of compensation, one time compensation to over-aged who can’t be covered under job package.
Handoo who was addressing a meeting of migrant activists here today further demanded delinking of employment and other relief measures from return package, passage of Shrine and Temples Bill, protection of immovable properties of migrants with removal of encroachments, compensation for losses suffered by migrant orchardists and traders, increase in cash relief, provision of medical aid to migrants and issuance of special I Cards to displaced people.
She also informed them that she had submitted a memorandum to the BJP national president Amit Shah during his recent visit to Jammu in this regard.
