JAMMU, May 4: Sampooran Kashmir Sangthan (SKS) president Rakesh Kaul today accused the State Government of its failure in maintaining law and order in Kashmir.
In a statement issued here Kaul said that the State coalition suffers from syndrome of indecisiveness which has led to intensification of violence in Valley as the Government through its wrong policies has given a long rope to the separatists.
He said the increasing acts of stone pelting and the involvement of college and school students in violence has been a total failure on the part of State Government. Kaul who was also contesting as an independent candidate from Anantnag Lok Sabha Constituency took the coalition to task for recommending first postponement of elections in Anantnag Lok Sabha Constituency first that later led to cancellation of elections. He said this shows total incompetence of the present Government in the State that for the first time in last 20 years of turmoil the elections were postponed.
Kaul said this as well as other decisions of the Government are boosting the morale of separatists and militants as the Government has no concrete policy to tackle the situation and restore peace in the Valley.
Kaul demanded that strict and tough measures are needed to weed out terrorists from Valley who are now ruling roost and dominating every sphere of life there. He warned in case further delay is made the situation will go out of control in near future.
