JAMMU, May 7: Outplaying SOS in a close contest by 2 points in the summit clash, Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Bazar Qasaban lifted the Under-17 girls Kho-Kho title trophy in the ongoing Jammu Zone Inter-School Tournament at GHSS Bakshi Nagar, here.
The Tournament in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball and Cricket Under-14 and Under-17 Boys and Girls was organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, under the supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer, Saroman Dogra, while Principal HSS Bakshi Nagar, Shashi Prabha Thapa was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who interacted with the players and lauded the efforts of the winners and runners-up teams.
The officiating panel included Rupali Slathia, Mohd Farooq, Satpal Singh, Satika Sharma, Tilak Raj, Ajeet Singh, Vishal Singh, Maha Dev, Vaneet, Manju Sharma, Neena Bhagat and Rakesh Sharma.
Earlier, in Kabaddi Under-17 final, SOS got better of GHSS Paloura by 5 points to claim the title, while in Kabaddi Under-14 summit clash, Rajpura HS trounced Chak Changrawan by one point.
In Kho-Kho Under-14 final, Rajpura beat SOS by 2 points, while in the semifinals, MS Muthi got better of ms New Plot by 1 point and SOS defeated HS Gole Gujral by 2 points.
