SAMBA, May 9: Samba police arrested a drug peddler today and recovered 40 nips of J&K Excise from his possession.
The arrested drug peddler was identified as Jasbir Kumar, S/o Lt Banarsi Lal of Ward No 7, Samba.
The Police has registered a case FIR No 94/2017 U/S 48 A Excise Act against him. It may be recalled that Samba Police under the directives of SSP, Anil Magotra has launched a continuous drive for over last two months against drug peddlers, criminals and bovine and other smugglers in the district.
The police party which arrested the drug peddler was headed by SHO Police Station Samba under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Samba. The Police has started investigation in the matter.
