JAMMU, May 10: Nirvana Academy today organised light singing and light instrumental competition on day-2 of Pandit Uma Dutt Sangeet Mahotsav at KL Saigal Hall, here.
Over 50 participants from Sharda Sangeet Sadan, KC International School, Tanseen Music Institute, Divine Music Institute, Rhythm Institute, Jodhamal School and Strings Guitar Institute took part in different categories of the musical competition. Singer Guitarist Sr. Jagdeep Singh, and noted instrumentalist Puran Singh Wazir adjudicated the competition.
Arush Sharma from Tanseen vidhalaya won first prize, Arsh Mittal and Ridhman Kesar won second and the third prize respectively in light instrumental up to 10 years age category.
Dhruv Saini from Jodhamal School, Suvir Pratap Singh from Tanseen, Rajveer Singh, Medansh Thusoo, Tejas Gupta bagged first prize and Ayush Sonawane, Bipasha Gupta, Ratul Sharma, Abhinandan Sharma, Aditya Salgotra claimed second prize while Agustay, Abhivesh Shukla, Kavish Bhat, Aaril Gupta clinched third prize in 11 years to 14 years age group of different instrument categories i.e Guitar, Key boards, tabla and Congo. Ronak Bhat from KC international School, Suresh Digra from Divine Music Institute won first prize and Ojas Masson, Dhruv Mehra won second prize in 15 years to 18 years age group and in 19 years to 22 years age group Ashish from Divine won first prize while Rajvinder Singh bagged second prize in guitar solo competition.
In light Singing up to 10 years age group Tanishqa Bakshi, Shrijus Sharma from Sharda Sangeet Sadan won first prize while Rithvik khajuria, Medhavi Rajput won second prize and Abir Beri won third prize. Jigisha from Tanseen Vidhalaya got consolation prize in the same category.
Yuvraj Singh, Suhani, Ananya Jain, Ridham Chatwal, Rajvinder Singh, Sunil Bharti won first prize while Satyam Gupta, Kriti Mahajan, Samridh, Suhani Sachdeva, Rimjim Gupta, Vinay Kotwal won second prize and Chandini Gupta, Rudransh, Suvir Pratap Singh, Sidhant Seekeri won third prize in 11 to 14 years, 15 to 18 years, 19 to 22 years and 23 years and above age group category of Semi Classical, light and folk singing.
Ishita Nanda and Himanshu Gupta from Sharda Sangeet Sadan won first prize in duet song competition.
