MENDHAR, May 17: A Govt school was found locked during the day in Galuta area of Zone Harni in Mendhar Sub Division of district Poonch.
Official sources said that Govt Primary School, Mohalla Gujran, Kangra Galuta (Harni) was found locked at 10.30 pm. Two teachers are posted in this school having strength of about 20 children. The school timing is from 8 am to 2 pm in the Sub Division. Some children were waiting for the teachers there while some returned home after seeing locked.
The villagers contacted SDM and Tehsildar on phone and told about the matter. Later, Tehsildar sent an official to confirm the complaint and asked ZEO, Harni Raj Kumari to take action against the teachers. The ZEO said that action against teachers Imran Qadir and Malika Khatoon, under rules has been recommended to the CEO Poonch which is yet awaited.
