Kidnapped young woman recovered

RAJOURI, May 18: A 19-year-old woman, who was allegedly kidnapped from Rajouri area was recovered by police last night.
The police said that the woman was recovered after a police team conducted raids at several places over night.
The woman’s father Mohammad Riyaz, resident of Rajwah in Nowshera, had lodged a complaint alleging that his daughter had left for market on May 12 but did not return.
On the basis of the complaint, police launched a manhunt and raided several places and recovered the woman from Thalka area. However, the kidnappers,  identified as Mohammad Niaz and Kalu, managed to flee from the spot during the raid.
The police said that woman was restored to the family after conducting her medical examination at Nowshera hospital. A manhunt was launched to nab the accused persons, police said.
Meanwhile, Kalakote police one absconder who was wanted in case FIR No.12/ 2014 under sections 376/ 451/ 506 RPC. He was identified as Rajinder Singh, son of Inder Singh, resident of Jatta Mallian in Kalakote. He was nabbed by SHO Kalakote Insp Darshan Singh from Treru village of Taryath.
