Srinagar, May 20: Three Engineers of Roads and Buildings department were suspended in Shopian on the directions of R&B Minister, Naeem Akhtar, after the officials were found using substandard material in road construction.
Executive Engineer Hashimdin, Assistant Executive Engineer Muzaffar Bhat and a Junior Engineer in Shopian division were suspended after residents in Zawoora, Shopian, sent a video evidence to the Minister about macadamisation of a road in which substandard material was used.
After verifying the video, the Minister ordered suspension of the three Engineers.
