Shaheen seeks ex gratia for family of man killed in flash floods

BANIHAL, May 20: National Conference district president, Ramban, Sajjad Shaheen, today demanded the district administration to release ex gratia for the family of a man, who died after being washed away in flash floods.
Expressing concern over delay in restoration works of the damaged infrastructure due to incessant rains and flash floods, National Conference district president, Ramban, Sajjad Shaheen  said that insensitive approach of the PDP-BJP dispensation has accumulated peoples’ problems during the past over two and half years.
Interacting with mourners at the residence of Bashir Ahmed, a driver at village Hingni, who washed away in flash floods caused due to heavy cloud burst, and whose body is yet to be recovered, the NC district president urged the local administration, especially the police to expedite efforts in recovering the body.
Shaheen sought immediate ex-gratia relief for the bereaved family and compensation to the damages caused due to cloud burst. He hoped that the authorities would do the needful under Natural Disaster Relief Fund earnestly.
