REASI, May 20: A Two-day District Level Inter-School tournament in the disciplines of Speedball and Silambam for Boys and Girls Under-14 and Under-17 years was conducted at Government High School Kambal Danga in which over 140 students of different private as well as government educational institutions participated.
Devinder Kumar Pandoh, Headmaster of the venue Institution, while addressing the participants as the Guest of Honour urged upon the teaching community comprising General Line and Physical Education Teachers to work in consonance for the wholesome personality of the taught.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Om Parkash ZPEO Reasi; Principal Amba Kids Home, Ashwani Katoch; Neelam Jamwal, Khajoor Singh, Bhram Dutt, Pushpa Devi, Jugal Sharma and good number of local spectators.
The Tournament is being organized as per the directions of the Department of Youth Services & Sports under the supervision of Dr SS Chib, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Reasi.
In Speedball Under-14 Boys, Amit Sharma of Amba Kids Home won first place, Omar Nazir of Amba Kids Home bagged second, Karan Bhagat of MS Aghar Ballian claimed third and the 4th place went to Mohd Yasin of Amba Kids Home, while in Under-14 Girls, the first place went to Fiza Akhter of Amba Kids Home, the second place was bagged by Pallvi Devi of Amba Kids Home, the third place was won by Avanshika of GHSS Girls Reasi and the fourth place was claimed by Arushi Prashar of Amba Kids Home.
In Under-17 Boys, the first place went to Tanshu Charak of HSS Katra, second spot was won by Sunil Kumar of DPS Katra, the third spot was clinched by Balbir Singh of HS Kambal Danga and the fourth place was claimed by Ranjeet Singh of HS Kambal Danga
In Under-17 Girls, the first position was won by Shivali Devi of HS Kambal Danga, the second spot was bagged by Sonia Devi of HS Kambal Danga, the third position went to Sunaina Devi of GHSS Girls
Reasi and the fourth spot was bagged by Archana Lakhotra of GHHS Girls Reasi.
Meanwhile in Silambam Under-14 Boys Single Stick Rotation, the first place was clinched by Arjun Singh of HS Gran, the second place went to Manzoor Ahmed of Amba Kids Home, the third spot went to Rajnish Kumar of HS Kambal Danga and the fourth position was claimed by Arun Sayal of HS Kambal Danga, while in Silambam Under-14 Boys Stick Fighting, Mandeep Singh of Amba Kids Home
bagged first spot, while the second palace went to Manjeet Singh of Amba Kids Home, the third position was claimed by Raman Kumar of MS Aghar Ballian and Vipan Kumar of HS Kambal Danga clinched fourth place.
In Silambam Under-17 Boys Single Stick Rotation, the first position was bagged by Arjun Dev Singh of HS Gran, the second position went to Naseem Shah of HS Kambal Danga, the third position was won by Rahul Verma of HS Gran and the fourth position was clinched by Vijay Kumarof HS Kambal Danga, while in Silambam Under-14 Boys Stick Fighting, Naseem Shah of HS Kambal Danga won first place, while the second place was bagged by Vijay Kumarof HS Kambal Danga, the third position went to Abhimanyu of HS Kambal Danga and the fourth position was claimed by Harsh Singh of HS Gran.
