NEW DELHI, May 22:
The BJP-led Central Government will organize the MODI Fest campaign at 900 places across the country from May 26 to June 15, 2017 in an effort to reach out the masses, where 450 party leaders would address the gatherings.
Addressing the mediapersons at BJP-headquarters here, Textiles Minister Smriti Irani said, “The campaign will be started on May 26 and would end on June 26, 2017.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick-start the programme from Guwahati on May 26. Along with PM, party president Amit Shah, MPs, BJP-ruled state Chief Ministers, former chief ministers, state presidents and other senior workers will participate in this event.”
Under Making of Developed India Festival (MODI Fest), “We will make aware all people about the schemes which have been launched by the Government. We will especially reach out to our youths of the country,” she added.
At the venue of MODI Fest, the party will hold ‘Jan ki Baat’, where the people can speak out regarding their issues and grievances. Those issues and grievances will directly be heard by the prime minister. Apart from this, ‘Sabka Sath ? Sabka Vikas’ conference will also be organized throughout the country.
Under this seminar, all those beneficiaries will be called upon who have received benefits from the schemes implemented by the Government. Giving details about the MODI Fest and ‘Sabka Sath ? Sabka Vikas’ conference, BJP General Secretary Arun Kumar Singh said, “A total of 450 leaders will participate in this event that include 330 parliamentarians, 13 chief ministers and 5 former chief ministers.”
Party President Amit Shah will address the event in Thiruvananthapuram, Andaman & Nicobar and Raipur. Home Minister Rajnath Singh will address at Mumbai and Jaipur. While Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley will participate in Delhi, Lucknow and Bengaluru and Ahmedabad fest, respectively.
Besides, the leaders will have to compulsorily participate in their home state and constituency. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will tour to Odisha while Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh to West Bengal and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in Himachal Pradesh.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat will visit to Jammu and Kashmir while UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will address the gathering in Bihar.
It is being believed that the party has come into the election mode since two years are left in power. It is trying to reach out to maximum people so that they could know about the good works done by the Government. (UNI)
