UDHAMPUR, May 23: Wrestler Ajay Sharma of Landon Power House Udhampur lifted 56th Annual Amar Nath Dangal title by defeating Wrestler Sagar of Gurdaspur, Punjab at Subash Stadium, here today.
The competition was organized by Amar Nath Maha Dangal Samiti in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and Mukti Youth Club Udhampur under the supervision of Chairperson Amar Nath Maha Dangal Samiti, Gita Devi, D/o Late Amar Nath Pujari and President J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Shiv Kumar Sharma.
Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed cash prizes among the winners and runner-up wrestlers.
Retired SP and Treasurer J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association Prithvi Raj Sharma presided over the function. Advocate Swantanter Dev Kotwal, President Hotel and Restaurant Association Udhampur Vikram Salathia, President Beopar Mandal Udhampur Surinder Singh Khalsa and Vice President Indian Style Wrestling Association, social activist and wrestling promoter Ram Paul Sharma were the guests of honour.
