GEWJAC demands correction in pay grades

JAMMU, May 26: J&K Govt Employees & Workers Joint Action Committee (GEWJAC) has urged upon the Government to go for corrections in the pay grades of clerical cadre.
In a meeting of the JAC held here today under the chairmanship of Babu Hussain Malik, the members criticized the State Govt for causing delay in removing pay anomalies. They alleged that despite clear High Court orders, the Govt was just buying time and avoiding to implement court orders.
They also demanded enhancement of Medical allowance of the employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 2000, release of pending DA installments and implementation of 7th Pay Commission on the Central Govt pattern.
The meeting was also attended by Bharat Bhushan, Ashok Singh, Yash Paul, Meenakshi Sharma, Jaswant Singh, Mohd Sadiq, Parshotam Sharma, Lekh Raj, S R Rathore, Farida Bano and others.
