JAMMU, May 27: The prominent Dogri poet Desh Bandhu Dogra Nutan’s new book entitled ‘Veer Jasarath Khokher’, a historical novel in Dogri, was released here today by Prof Jigar Mohd., Dean Research Studies, University of Jammu.
A galaxy of intellectuals, faculty members and scholars were present on this occasion.
Prof. Jigar Mohd, in his address, said that a language can survive and progress only if it is used in all walks of life like day-to-day conversation, education, business, media etc. He stressed that special efforts are required to popularize Dogri among children and younger generation.
Desh Bandhu Dogra ‘Nutan’ also spoke on this occasion and shared his experiences with the audience.
Prof Sushma Sharma, HoD Dogri, was full of appreciation for the quality as well as quantity of the literary works produced by Desh Bandu Dogra ‘Nutan’. She also presented vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and audience presented on this occasion.
