SRINAGAR/JAMMU, May 27: MLCs Ajay Bharti and Surinder Ambardar along with devotees attended Maha Yagya at Nandkishwar Asthapan, Seer Jagir, Sopore in the Valley, while thousands of devotees thronged Nandkishwar Asthapan at Akalpur, Jammu to attend Maha Yagya and seek blessings of God ‘Nandkishwar’.
Apart from attending Maha Yagya, the MLCs laid foundation stone at new temple complex at Seer Jagir amidst traditional vedic chants..
They also inaugurated fencing wall of the Temple Orchid was also inaugurated by the MLCs under the supervision of Sarpanch Wali Mohd Mir and Gh Mohd Lone.
The yagyas at both the places were organized by the Managing Committee of the Asthapan, under the supervision of its president SK Raina.
Government had made elaborate arrangements with regard to security and medical facilities at both the places.
Maha Bhog ‘Prashad’ was served among the devotees amid religious bhajans and kirtans, smacking ecstatic feeling among all present on the occasion.
