Jammu Police wins Exhibition Cricket Match

JAMMU, May 28: Jammu Police XI registered emphatic win against the Jammu Media XI in the Exhibition T20 Cricket Match played at Jammu University Cricket Ground, here today.
The Match was organized by District Police Jammu under the supervision of Dr Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu, while Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer & former Ranji Trophy Player was the Coordinator.
Sunil Gupta SSP Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking lavished praise for the organizing team for conducting the match to provide opportunity to police personnel and media persons to test their sporting skills.
Jammu Police XI defeated Jammu Media XI by 14 runs.
Batting first, Jammu Police XI scored 159 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs. Rajesh Gill was the top scorer with 69 runs with 12 four and 1 six, while Ramesh Kotwal, SP Headquarters contributed valuable 32 runs with 3 boundaries  and Sandeep Choudhary, SP South made 17 runs.
From Media XI, Rahul took 1 wicket.
Media XI in reply could not achieve the target and made 145 runs in 20 overs, thus lost the match by 14 runs. Rupesh scored 23 runs, while Vaneet and Jugal contributed 19 and 16 runs to the total respectively. Rajesh Gill took 3 wickets, while Vinay Kumar SP took 2 wickets.  Adhishwer, Arun, and Bhalwan claimed 1 wicket each.
Rajesh Gill from Jammu Police XI was adjudged as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain, Saleem-ur-Rehman and Vinod.
