JAMMU, May 30: Former Minister and MLA Marh Sukhnandan Choudhary today distributed more than 40 LPG connections to the women of BPL families of village Chattha Gujran of Karloop Panchyat under Prime Minister Ujjwalla Yojana which was launched by Narendra Modi on May 1, last year at Balia in U.P.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he said that the provision of LPG as cooking fuel helps in addressing health related problems caused by traditional sources of cooking fuel such as fire wood, coal, dung etc. He said that it will enhance the productivity of woman and raise their quality of life.
He also said that Government of India provides deposit free LPG connections of BPL families identified through the socio-economic caste census 2011 data.
He appealed the people of his Constituency to take maximum benefit of Government sponsored schemes launched by State as well as Central Governments.”Overall Development of Marh Constituency is my priority and trying my level best to serve the people of my Constituency”, he added.
A large number of people of the area including political activists, Sarpanches such as Harjit Singh,Om Parkash,Sham Lal etc were also present on the occasion.
