Clerical staff for office timings from 8 am to 2 pm in Jammu

JAMMU, May 31:  Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association has urged upon the State Government  to follow old traditional timings of the Jammu offices during summer season  from 8 am to 2 pm instead of 10 am to 5 pm as recently declared  by the respective Deputy Commissioners.
A joint delegation of the Clerical Association,  led by Babu Hussain Malik, president of the body, met the Divisional Commissioner  Jammu, Mandeep Bhandari in his office chamber here today and submitted a memorandum. They apprised the Divisional Commissioner regarding different   timings being followed in various Govt departments in the region during these summers, which is creating lot of problems for the employees.
He urged upon the Divisional Commissioner to declare the summer timings in all the Govt offices in Jammu from 8 am to 2 pm and if not,  then allow five day working in all the Jammu offices as is being done in Civil Secretariat  with timings from 10 am to 5 pm.
Malik also demanded removal of pay anomalies of the clerical cadre and enhancement of Medical allowance  of  the employees and pensioners from Rs 300 to Rs 3000 per month.
Prominent among those accompanying Mr Malik,  included Bharat Bhushan, Ashok Singh, Yash Paul Sharma, Meenakshi Sharma,  Jaswant Singh, Seva Ram Rathore,  Parshotam Sharma, Lekh Raj and others.
