Farewell accorded to officers on attaining superannuation

JAMMU, May 31: Warm send off was accorded to various officers, working in different Government institutions.
Chairman J&K Special Tribunal Vinod Kaul (IAS) who attained his superannuation after rendering 37 years of service to State of J&K in various capacities was given a touching adieu by the staff members and officers of his organization at Srinagar today.
Kaul who started his career in 1980 has served as General Manager DIC, Joint Director Industries, Director Local Bodies Kashmir, Director Food Supplies Jammu, Relief Commissioner Migrants and Commissioner cum Secretary of Technical Education and Sports, Commissioner Secretary Administrative Reforms, Revenue and Relief, Commissioner, Secretary Science and Technology, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments and Chairman J&K Special Tribunal.
As Director Local Bodies Kaul took keen interest in creation of infrastructure under self financing scheme introduced for first time in urban areas of Kashmir and during his tenure as Relief Commissioner two room tenements for Kashmiri migrants were constructed at Jagti.
He handled most important assignments of creation of administrative units in State which received appreciation from Cabinet as well as then Chief Minister. Later he also played an important role in handling flood relief and was architect of drafting flood rehabilitation package and package for PoJK refugees during his tenure as Commissioner Secretary Relief and Rehabilitation.
Managing Director, J&K SIDCO Sojanya Sharma was accorded warm send-off by the officers and employees of the J&K SIDCO on his superannuation here today. A function was organized in the office of SIDCO, Rail Head today, which was attended by all functionaries of the Corporation, besides other prominent citizens of Jammu city. The speakers highlighted the rich contribution of Sharma in different departments for the development of Jammu, especially during his tenure as Commissioner, JMC, Director Tourism and Local Bodies.  They wished him happy and prosperous post retirement life.
Director Animal Husbandry Department Dr SK Abrol was given a warm send off by his colleagues on retirement. He started his carrier as VAS, Basholi in 1980 and subsequently worked on different posts in the department.
AK Malhotra, Director Agriculture, Jammu along with other retirees namely Surinder Misri, Subject Matter Specialist (RL), Jammu and Ram Dass, Field Assistant was given a very warm and affectionate send off here at Krishi Bhawan today who retired from services after putting in more than 36 years of dedicated services to the farming community in different capacities in the Department of Agriculture. Bulesh Zutshi, Joint Director of Agriculture (SLUB), HK Razdan, Joint Director of Agriculture Extension and Kulbhushan Singh Sambyal, Joint Director of Agriculture (Inputs), Jammu complimented Malhotra on the occasion for rendering dedicated and valuable services and wished a very happy and prosperous post retirement life. They also appreciated the sincere services of Surinder Misri and Ram Dass in the department in different capacities and levels for more than 38 years. Mementos were also presented to the retirees in the farewell programme on behalf of the Department as a mark of honor and affection.
Zonal Education Officer, (ZEO) Manjakote, Rajouri  Shahnawaz was given a touching send off on attaining age of superannuation today after rendering 40 long years service in Education Department of the State in various capacities. He was given a farewell at a function organized in Manjakote today in which besides the employees and officers of Education Department of Zone Manjakote, Sarpanchs and Panchs of the area and prominent citizens participated. The speakers highlighted his remarkable role as ZEO in this far-flung area of the State.
Warm farewell was accorded by the staff members of Zonal Education Office, Dansal to Sham Lal Sharma, Zonal Education Planning Officer, Dansal, who attained superannuation after rendering 37 years of selfless services.
Brij Nandan Singh, President, Non-Teaching Employees Association, Jammu has attained superannuation after rendering 38 years of his services.
Singh joined his services as field-cum-laboratory assistant in the department of Agriculture on April 28, 1979. He was transferred and absorbed in the newly established SKUAST, J&K. He rendered 38 years of services to the Department of Agriculture and in various campuses and research stations of SKUAST-Jammu.
A farewell party was organized for Singh by Non-teaching Employees Association, SKUAST-Jammu. Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu Dr Pradeep K Sharma was the chief guest, while officers of the University, leaders of the various trade unions and association were also present.
SKUAST-Teaching Association Jammu (SKUAST-TAJ) accorded warm farewell to Dr Satish Kumar Sudan Associate Professor Division of Plant Breeding and Genetics on his superannuation after rendering distinguished services of more than 38 years. Vice Chancellor, Dr Pradeep K Sharma,  President Teaching Association Dr Vikas Sharma, and other officers of the University were present on the occasion.
Warm send off was accorded to Ashwani Kumar, Choffour and Hardeep Singh, Driver of PHE Department, who retired today from PHE Division Kathua. A function was organised to bid farewell to them by PHE Department Driver Cleaners Union District Kathua, which was attended by Kartar Chand Dubey, Chairman, Mohan Singh Charak, Davinder Singh, Romesh Lal, joginder Singh, Bisham Dass and many others.
District Officers, Zonal Soil Conservation Officers, field officials and other staff members of Soil and Water Conservation Department Jammu organized a function to bid a farewell to Avtar Krishan Bhat, Silt Observer, on his superannuation at Soil & Water Conservation Office Complex, Raika Narwal, Jammu. Pawan K Kudyar, Joint Director, Soil and Water Conservation Department, Jammu Region, in his address described the officer as an asset to the institution. The function ended with vote of thanks by Devinder Kumar Magotra, District Soil Conservation Officer, Jammu.
The staff members and students of Government Higher Secondary School, Bhalwal accorded warm send off to Principal Harbans Lal Sharma on attaining superannuation. On the occasion, Principals of Bhalwal, block, dignitaries and family members were present. All dignitaries highlighted the services rendered by Sharma in various capacities and also wished him best post retirement life.
A warm farewell was given to the ASI Mohinder Singh, ASI Kuldeep Singh and ASI Ashok Kumar of District Police Jammu on their superannuation from service by Jammu Police. The function was organized in District Police Lines, Jammu, wherein the officers and jawans of DPL wished the retiring personnel of prosperous life. Each retiree was honoured with a cheque of Rs 50,000 as retirement gift out of Police Welfare Fund.
Senior Horticulture Technician of the Office of Divisional Manager PP Workshop, Udheywalla, Jammu Ram Lal Choudhary was accorded a warm farewell in a function on attaining superannuation after rendering 39 years of dedicated service. Assistant Director Horticulture Jammu, Horticulture Information and Publicity Officer, Jammu, Divisional Manager, PP Workshop Jammu, besides other officers and officials of the department were present on the occasion.
A function was organised by Public Health Engineering Employees Welfare Association under the chairmanship of its President Balwinder Singh to accorded warm send off to Paramjeet Singh, Motorman of the PHE Department on attaining superannuation.
A warm send off was given to Sham Sunder Sharma, Senior Superintendent of J&K Police on his superannuation after rendering 38 years of services. Selected in Police Services as Sub Inspector in 1979, Sharma served in various wings of the Police Department. The warm send off to the retiring officer was given by the staff of Zonal, ranges of armed and IRP Police Headquarters Jammu.
