JAMMU, June 3: Shri Bawa Bhair Devsthan Trust will organize Devsthan Sadbhavana Yatra on June 9 at 8 am sharp from Brahman Sabha, Jammu.
Addressing a joint press conference here, president of the Trust, Balwant Singh, general secretary, Ramesh Sharma, social activist, Subash Shastri, BS Jamwal (Ex DC), Kirpal Singh and Jai Durga Yuva Sanstha president, Amit Luthra said that the mission of this Yatra is aimed at communal harmony amongst various communities besides “Sab Ka Sath Devsthan Ka Vikas”.
They said that ancient Devsthan of Bawa Bhair Dev Ji has prime religious importance irrespective of caste, creed and color. All communities have sacred faith in the Devsthan most of whom visit the Shrine on various occasion including ‘mundan’ ceremonies of their wards, they added.
They said that the motive of the Devsthan Yatra is to apprise the general masses of the historical importance of the Devsthan and make maximum participations of devotees.
However, they expressed grave concern over the apathy of the concerned authorities towards the development of Devsthan despite the fact that currently thousands of pilgrims visit the shrine in a week.
They urged the Chief Minister to visit this holy place and include it in the tourist map of Jammu and demanded construction of 2.5 kilometer road from Kattal Batal to Devsthan, setting of a picnic cum culture spot in the vicinity and also construction of all weather sheds for the pilgrims visiting the Devsthan to seek the blessing of Kuldevta.
