JAMMU, June 5: Provincial Electric Employees Union (PEEU) has strongly condemned the thrashing of a line man of Sub Division EM&RE Batote by Assistant Commissioner Ramban on May 29 and demanded action against the officer for his act.
The PEEU in its meeting at Vijaypur today held under the chairmanship of PC Sharma warned agitation in case the matter is not thoroughly investigated. It said no officer how big he may be can beat a Government employee by taking the law in his hands. The meeting demanded a judicial probe into the mater and action against the officer. The meeting also warned that in case the action was not taken against the defaulter the Union will give a strike call.
